MSA British Long Circuit Kart Championship

Round 5: Cadwell Park, 7-8 September

Reigning champion Paul Platt extended his lead in the championship with a win and a second place at Cadwell in two closely fought races.

In race one Platt lost his lead to Wall when his seat mount broke. Wall was heading for the win when his left-rear wheel came off at the hairpin on the last lap and he three-wheeled across the line, with Platt handed a surprise win.

In race two there was a four-way scrap for the lead between Wall, Platt, Dan Clark and James O’Reilly. Clark took over the lead but couldn’t shake off his pursuers; a mistake at Hall Bends on the last lap allowed Platt to close up, but Clark managed to hold on for the win. GJ
