Another week, another win, for Lando Norris

It was a case of another week, another win, for ADD Motorsports driver Lando Norris. The Glastonbury racer finished top of the podium after a thrilling climax to the Rotax Max Euro Challenge. It was his second victory in the competition and consecutive first place finish.

And after the season the young driver has had, you can bet he’s not finished picking up the trophies just yet. He said: “I was pushing myself as much as possible and it all came together in the final.

“We were comfortable without being really fast, so I’m really pleased to get another win.”Lando was happy to finish second in his qualifying group and 14th overall at the French circuit in Salbris that he was racing at for the first time.He finished third in the first heat after starting fifth and ended up in fourth place in the remaining two.It meant he began the pre-final in fifth, although after being pushed out wide dropped to eighth by the first corner.By the time he got back to fifth, the leaders had a good gap on him and Lando couldn’t find a way through.

Lando found himself starting fifth again for the final, but his brilliant start paved the way for his victory.By the first corner he had maneuvered himself into second and got into the lead by the second lap.Over the next six laps he pulled away bit by bit to take a comfortable lead.

With three laps to go, the lead was shortened, but not enough to make a difference.Although Lando won two out of the four rounds of the Euro Challenge, he missed the third round due to it clashing with another competition, leaving him short on points that could have left him with another title.

Nevertheless, he was still delighted with another fantastic win.Lando added: “I started looking behind me for the last three laps and it meant I made a few little mistakes to let them catch up a bit.“We were getting faster and faster throughout the weekend, but we were really pleased to win as we still didn’t think we were that fast.“But I managed to get ahead and keep the lead – and it was the first couple of laps that helped me win.”

Next up it’s testing for Lando, before he heads off for the world championships.
