Zytek Engineering Launches new LMP Coupe Project

New Chapter in Sportscar Racing

Zytek has today released details of its LMP Coupe project, a totally new car that will take the highly successful Zytek chassis brand on into the new era of LMP sportscar racing.

Zytek has an outstanding performance record in designing developing and manufacturing Le Mans winning Prototype Sportcars. Its many successes include pole position and first and second in class at the Le Mans 24 Hours race, along with numerous pole positions (2 out 2 this year alone) and race wins in European Le Mans Series (ELMS) and World Endurance Championship (WEC), winning the LMP2 Le Mans Series and ELMS, all using chassis, engines and electronics developed and manufactured by Zytek.

Zytek has the unprecedented capabilities to design, develop and manufacture every aspect of a Le Mans Prototype programme. Be it chassis, aerodynamics, engines or electronics; Zytek has the core enthusiastic, dedicated engineering talent to consistently deliver world beating products.

Now starts the next chapter in this engineering and sporting endeavour as the new Zytek Coupe project is launched.Conforming to the latest FIA Le Mans Prototype Regulations this „cost capped‟, coupe car is poised to take LMP2 racing to a new level of sophistication and performance.

The initial design phase is well under way and on schedule to have a car testing by the later part of 2015, ready for racing in 2016.Designed to accept a range of different engines and with an LMP1 compliant monocoque, this car will cater for all Zytek customers requirements.

Utilising all the knowledge and experience gained from the highly successful Zytek Z11SN LMP2 the Zytek Coupe will build on all the best characteristics, which include a high level of downforce relative to competition, very low ride height sensitivity, good tyre wear characteristics - due to suspension geometry, maximised cockpit ergonomics, low fuel level performance, optimised Le Mans aero kit and enhanced safety features.
