Chang and Kaminsky Eyeing Snetterton F3 Podium Challenge

Top single-seater team Double R Racing will be back in action this coming weekend, 21st/22nd June, when the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 Championship resumes for the third event of the season at Snetterton 300 Circuit in Norfolk. Macanese driver Andy Chang is currently third in the championship standings and eager to make a return to the podium, having missed out on adding to his 2014 silverware collection last time out at Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.Having claimed two podiums during his maiden weekend in F3 at Rockingham in early May, the 17-year-old made a very strong impact and certainly has the pace to return to the rostrum when the category makes it annual visit to East Anglia a few days from now.American racer Camren Kaminsky, also embarking on his debut season at Formula 3 level this year, is seeking his first visit to the championship rostrum having been close on two occasions with top four results at both Rockingham and Silverstone.Going into rounds seven, eight and nine of the campaign, the 20-year-old is fifth in the standings and will be aiming to build further on the consistently strong foundations he has already laid in his rookie season piloting a Mercedes powered Dallara F312.“We’re feeling pretty confident for Snetterton, Andy and Camren are progressing all the time with their understanding of the car and the target is definitely a podium return at the weekend”, said team boss Anthony ‘Boyo’ Hieatt, “Silverstone proved a bit tougher than the opening rounds at Rockingham, but I think Snetterton should be good – hopefully we’ll be on the pace from the off.”Qualifying for the third event of the British F3 season will commence at 11.20 on Saturday, 21st June, with round seven getting underway at 15.55. On Sunday, 22nd June, rounds eight and nine will take place at 09.35 and 14.15 respectively.Provisional 2014 Cooper Tires British Formula 3 Championship Standings (after Rd6):3rd Andy Chang, 55pts; 5th Camren Kaminksy, 48pts
