Trident GP3 Race 2 review

P 4 - ROMAN DE BEER

Roman had a fantastic race rewarding the Team the first fourth place position of the Season and collecting the first points for both the driver and team final standing. After a quick start and a great race pace, he was a breath away from the podium. De Beer's weekend was particularly difficult but it finished in the best of ways and Roman demonstrated to be very mature with a excellent management capacity during critical situations.

Final Position: P4Starting Position: P12Position after 1°lap: P6

DRIVER's QUOTE:"I had a tough time learning the track as our day got cut short due to an incident on friday and resulting in qualifying being a very difficult task. We managed a good Race one and kept on developing the car as well as learning the track. Race two was a fantastic race as we managed the tyres well and attacked at the right time. Thank you to the team for working and repairing the damage and all the SA fans back home. We are working hard for Silverstone and looking forward".

P 18 - VICTOR CARBONE

Victor had a very good start and recuperated several positions during the first lap but a car spun out in front of him around the 10th lap making him lose the conquered position returning in position 18th. The race pace was always the average of the group but Victor was able to make his fastest lap in the last lap with a good 1.22.6".

Final Position: P18Starting Position: P18Position after 1°lap: P15

DRIVER's QUOTE:"It was a big learning weekend. We were struggling on high speed turns, and by the Sprint Race we were much better. Again we didn't manage to quality so good, and that must be our focus for the next race. Now we have a week to prepare and that we are off to England!!".

Sergio that started from 15th place position, after a good start, carried out several overtakings in the first laps that brought him only a breath away from the point zone. The race pace was always good and constant but the race continued without particular developments for Canamasas until the chequered flag. The final weekend result was in any case positive given his continuous improvement.

Final Position: P9Starting Position: P15Position after 1°lap: P13Tires on grid: Prime White Medium

DRIVER's QUOTE:"This weekend was very positive given that I demonstrated a continuous improvement and was very close to the point zone in the Sprint Race. It is a real pity that I was not able to try this track before this race weekend because I am sure I could have fought for the podium. In any case, my feeling for the future is surely positive. I am carrying out a season with a constant growth and without making errors and I am very confident for the next race, on tracks more favorable for me I will be able to earn great satisfactions like those in Monaco. Thanks to the Team for the results obtained during this race weekend and all my attention goes to the next transfer in England".
