MOTORCYCLE RIDE-IN ADVANCE EVENT PARTICIPANT TICKETS AVAILABLE UNTIL 5PM ON 11 JULY
On Sunday 13 July, motorcyclists will be jumping on their bikes to ride through the beautiful New Forest for Beaulieu’s fifth annual Motorcycle Ride-In Day, this year sponsored by Kawasaki.
Riders can display their machines in the attraction’s picturesque parkland, meet other like-minded enthusiasts, and enjoy the Beaulieu attraction, all for a fantastic on-the-day price of £10 rider and bike, £15 with pillion. Why not take advantage of a special advance discount by buying event participant tickets before 5pm on 11 July, either online at www.beaulieushop.co.uk or by telephone on 01590 612888.
Three times British Trials Champion, Steve Colley, will be entertaining the crowds in the Beaulieu Arena twice during the day with a dazzling array of tricks and stunts, even managing to give a commentary simultaneously from his bike. Children’s motorcycle display team, The Tigers, based in Lee-on-Solent, Hampshire, will also be performing two shows; replacing the previously advertised Solent Eagles, who unfortunately had to pull out of the event.
Southampton Harley-Davidson will be present at the event and members of their affiliated club, the New Forest Harley-Davidson Owners’ Club, will be riding in to create a display of their bikes around their stand. Members of the Kawasaki Riders Club are also expected to attend.
A number of trade stands will be selling accessories, clothing, parts and all the latest biking gadgets and refreshments will be available all day from the Brabazon Restaurant and outside catering units.
Visitors to Beaulieu will be asked to vote for their favourite bike in the People’s Choice Awards and in the afternoon, the owner of the winning bike will be presented with a special trophy sponsored by Kawasaki.
Admission to the event includes entry to the whole Beaulieu Attraction. Don’t miss the National Motor Museum’s new permanent display, The Motorcycle Story, a journey through motorcycling history with motorcycles and memorabilia covering a variety of racing disciplines as well as road safety, British ‘Mods and Rockers’ youth culture of the 1950s and 60s and the Ace Café scene. Check out the display’s Motorcycling Icons Wall of Fame, a gallery featuring the top twenty riders, as voted for by the public in a recent poll.
Participant entry is from 8.30am on the morning of the event, with drinks and refreshments available from 9.30am in the on-site restaurant. The event opens to the public from 10am.
All visitors to Beaulieu on 13 July not participating in the event with a bike are required to pay standard Beaulieu attraction admission rates.
