P6 - JOHNNY CECOTTO

After a decisive start, Johnny was able to recuperate several positions climbing to P7 already after the first lap. The lap times from the first laps were the average of the group, but after the stop, that took place during the 7th lap, where the prime tires with Hard compound were put on, the race pace began to improve for Cecotto and was able to recuperate an ulterior position stabilizing himself at P6. Only during the last laps, Johnny was forced to defend himself from Nars who's attack arrived with fresh tires, recording the best lap times and with Cecotto's perseverance and determination, he kept him behind closing the race in 6th position and only one tenth from who preceded him and earning other important points for the final classification.

DRIVERS' QUOTE:"We had another consistent race, with a good pace and we earned good points for the championship. We have been a little bit unlucky with the strategy because we wanted to be to conservative but tomorrow we have an excellent starting position".

P15 - SERGIO CANAMASAS

Sergio, who started from the 8th row had to avoid Trummer's car that stalled right in front of him and this made Canamasas lose the possibility to earn positions at the start. The race strategy adapted was quite conservative putting on the medium tires on the grid and anticipating so the pitstop during the first available laps. The race pace was always good above all after the stop with a good race rhythm which was constant until the end, recording his best lap right after the last turn, but the driver did not have any particular opportunities to be able earn positions or to be able to climb the final classification closing his race in P15.

DRIVERS' QUOTE:"Unfortunately I did not earn a good result today. I felt that I had a good race rhythm but during my race start I lost several positions due to the stall of the car in front of me. In addition, I believe that the race strategy was not right and this compromised the final result of the race. The race was quite normal and I did not make any errors but unfortunately it was not sufficient to reach the point zone. I am already focused for my race tomorrow where I hope to reach the 8th position at least tomorrow".

For all the 21 laps he maintained a steady pace and was one of the fastest showing that he was especially quick in the final part of the race where he was able to defend himself from Palmer who was ready to attack. Once again Johnny carried out an impeccable race without making any errors.Final Position: P3Starting Position: P3Position after 1°lap: P3Tires on grid: Prime Hard Orange

DRIVERS' QUOTE:"We continue with our consistency in Silverstone, another weekend with a lot of points and another podium finish. We maybe made a few mistakes in qualifying which cost a few points over the weekend but we did a great job in the two races. No mistakes in race and a good pace were important for the championship. I want to thanks once again my Team, all the mechanics and the engineers for the great job, we are really working well together".

SERGIO CANAMASAS

From the start of the Sprint Race, Sergio who was in 8th row, was involved in a collision with other 2 cars and quickly lost several positions slipping to P24. The driver in any case continued his race with damages to his car. The damages initially seemed very minimal but the Team then called him to the pit lane in order to better evaluate the posterior wing that instead resulted to be more damaged than expected and Canamasas was therefore forced to retire concluding the the race 10 laps early.

DRIVERS' QUOTE:"At the start of the race, I skated with my back tires on the asphalt a little losing several positions. In addition, I was hit at the first curve and was throw toward another car. I tried to continue my race to see if I could recuperate something, but I was driving one second slower so I reentered into the box, the team checked the car and we decided to retire from the race to not risck ulterior damages".
