Auto GP ready for historic debut in Zeltweg

Everything is set for the sixth round of the 2014 Auto GP series, scheduled for the coming weekend at the Austrian Zeltweg venue. The Coloni-promoted championship will be lining-up for the first time at the 4.326 km venue located in a beautiful countryside. The fight for the title will be as hot as ever with championship leader Kimiya Sato fielded by Euronova in an effort to increase his 151 point toll and to regain the podium. An achievement that he missed in Race 2 at Imola after dominating Race 1.

Kevin Giovesi (FMS) and Markus Pommer (Super Nova) are eager to turn tables on their Japanese rival as they lay tied in second place with 115 points. Tamas Pal Kiss is set to switch teams in Austria. After winning at Le Castellet and experiencing two tough weekends in Italy, he decided to join Virtuosi UK, the same team he had the chance to run for in the preseason test at Jerez de la Frontera.

Tamas will drive alongside team-mate Andrea Roda, who is trailing him in standings. Michela Cerruti (Super Nova) will also try to be back on top after scoring a sensational win at Imola. The Italian female racer also entered the restricted group of drivers that joined the Formula E series. The home colours of Zele Racing will be defended by 23-year-old Swissman Christof von Grunigen, who made it to a stunning front row position at his debut race in Monza.

After his first Auto GP outing with Euronova, Salvatore De Plano will switch to FMS for the occasion. On the other hand, Vincenzo Sospiri will have Shinya Nakano who debuted at Monza. Back for their own operation, Michele La Rosa (MLR71 by Euronova) and Giuseppe Cipriani (Ibiza Racing) will be hitting the Red Bull Ring.
