Riccardo Agostini claimed eight place for Hilmer Motorsport at the Hockenheimring in the second race of the GP3 Series, showing consistency throughout the weekend where he was one of the frontrunners.
14th at the end of the qualifying, the young Italian driver wraced to ninth place in Race 1, despite the fact that during the final laps he had to deal with a rapid degradation of the rear tires and couldn’t defend his position from the attacks of Jann Mardenborough. A better eight place, because of the reversed grid, would have granted him a start from the pole position in Race 2.
Agostini started Race 2 from ninth place and fought for the top-10, managing during the last lap to overtake Robert Visoiu.
The next round is scheduled for 25-27th of July athe the Hungaroring track, where Agostini has always given the best of himself and where, alongside with the GP3 event will take place as usual the F1 Grand Prix.
