Local boy Bartosz Zmarzlik returns as Gorzow FIM Speedway GP Poland wild card‏

BARTOSZ'S BIG NIGHT IN GORZOW

Local hero Bartosz Zmarzlik takes on the sport’s biggest stars again when he returns as Gorzow FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland wild card at the Edward Jancarz Stadium on August 30.

Zmarzlik may be one of Gorzow’s junior riders in the Polish Ekstraliga, but he is no stranger to beating the World Championship’s finest. He made his SGP debut with a phenomenal third place at Gorzow in 2012, before bagging a respectable six points in last year’s event.

The 19-year-old, who also rides for Vetlanda and briefly appeared for British club Birmingham, is one of Poland’s brightest rising stars.

He will be keen to enhance that reputation with another big performance on the track where he learnt his trade.

Zmarzlik is joined at the Edward Jancarz Stadium by Gorzow team mates and track reserves Adrian Cyfer and Lukasz Kaczmarek.

Cyfer lines up at No.17, while Kaczmarek dons the No.18 race jacket as they await the chance to replace any competitors who are forced to miss a ride through injury, illness, a starting offence or other reasons.

The referee in Gorzow is Jesper Steentoft from Denmark.
