Round 9: Gaby Mohr Trial (Wolverhampton & SSCC), 14 September

A month after taking his first national car trial win, Henry Kitching won again at the Gaby Mohr Trial.

Kitching’s win followed a day-long tussle with Nick Pollitt, which saw them separated by 11 points after 32 hills in the new car class. The rear-wheel-drive class saw Barrie Parker make a costly mistake, with Steve Courts and Dave Oliver then tying in their Hillman Imp for third overall.

In the front-wheel-drive class Philip Buckle took his first class win at national level, just ahead of Rupert North and John Moffatt.
