Andrew Jordan and Pirtek Racing will head to Brands Hatch for the final three rounds of the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season on the fabulous Grand Prix circuit at the Kent track (11/12 October). The challenging three-dimensional Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch is a track that rewards driver talent and a car with good handling and Andrew believes that will put him in a strong position for the last three races of the season. Having battled for straight-line speed in the recent races at Rockingham and Silverstone, Andrew is confident of being back in the fight for race wins and overall podium finishes.“I can’t wait for Brands GP because I love the place and we’ll be up there,” said Andrew. “The circuit should suit us well and the car should be good. Plus, it has been wet for the last two years there and I really love the slippery conditions.” Confidence is high for a front-running final weekend of the season for the Pirtek Racing Honda Civic. A year ago, Andrew secured the overall drivers’ title in a day of dramatic action on the Brands Hatch GP circuit.Although Andrew is not out of the running for the overall title, where Colin Turkington is the clear favourite from Jason Plato, he is determined to add further to his season tally of four race wins, one second and two thirds.Andrew now lies fifth in the overall standings behind Turkington, Plato, Gordon Shedden and Mat Jackson. He is just four points behind Jackson and will be bidding to take fourth place in the final standings. He lies third in the Independents’ Trophy and Pirtek Racing is third in the Independent Teams’ Trophy.After qualifying on Saturday 11 October at 15.35, the first of three BTCC races will be at 11.30 on Sunday, with race two at 14.20 and race three at 17.05.
