Albert remains with SWR Caterham F1 for BRDC F4 Winter title challenge‏

Podium finisher Jordan Albert will remain with SWR Caterham F1 for November's BRDC F4 Winter Championship.

In only his second season of racing of any sort, and his first in BRDC F4, the Silverstone-based 17-year-old has shown significant improvements in form as the season has developed, culminating in an excellent podium finish at the most recent round at Donington Park.

Albert also scored a brace of top-five finishes on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit in August, and sits inside the top-10 in the overall championship standings.

Albert commented: "It's great to stay with SWR Caterham F1 for the Winter Championship. They've worked so hard this year, have been very patient and really helped me to develop as a driver. The results have started to come now and after securing my podium at Donington, I'm feeling confident that I can be a frontrunner in the Winter Championship."

SWR Caterham F1 Team owner Sean Walkinshaw commented: "It's absolutely fantastic news we've agreed a deal with Jordan to remain with SWR Caterham for the Winter Championship. Over the last few rounds he's really been able to get into his stride and show what everyone at the team has known he's capable of.

"As well as Jordan being a very quick driver with a huge amount of potential, it's important for the team to have the continuity of extending the partnership into the Winter Championship. Hopefully we can build on the podium he achieved at Donington and really mount a strong challenge up at the front. We're definitely feeling confident and looking forward to confirming another signing soon."

The Winter Championship commences at Snetterton on 8-9 November, and finishes on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on 22-23 November.
