MSA British Superkart Championship

Rounds 11 & 12: Cadwell Park, 26 October

Paul Platt secured his fourth consecutive title with victory in the last race of the year at Cadwell Park.

Platt took the lead of race one on the opening lap but retired on the next tour when an engine mount bolt broke. That left the way clear for close title rival Dan Clark to win.

The result cut Platt’s championship lead to one point ahead of the final race. Toby Davis led the opening lap before spinning. Clark took over at the front but Platt was in hot pursuit and passed his rival for the lead on lap six and romped to victory. An emotional Platt was speechless after his epic drive.
