The Italian track of Monza was the stage of the seventh date of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup, a meeting characterized by  high density of traffic on the track, with 39 participants, thanks to the integration of 15 guest drivers, 8 of them Italian. Matteo shone, fast, competitive and motivated on his home track where he scored the best results of a season which has seen steady growth.

Second quickest in free practice, same result for the qualifying for Race 1 and pole position for the Second Race. In two races, Matteo gained two podium second places, but he would have prefered more.  “My aim, of course, was to win the race. But Sven was simply too strong this weekend

Matteo missed the victory, but his performances have gained very important points for the Rookie ranking . A booty of 36 points, which btakes him to second position with a total of 78 points, only two points from Come Ledogar (80 points).

Next and last date, always with a double race, at Austin, Texas, on the 24th of October.
