Dunlop's Dominate Killalane

William and Michael Dunlop dominated the Country Crest Killalane Road Races the penultimate European round of the Duke Road Race Rankings Series 2015.

William arrived at the 3.600-mile Killalane course leading the 2015 Rankings by 133 points ahead of current (2014) champion James Cowton and four races later, with two race victories and two - third places left with an increased lead of 233 points ahead of Irishman Derek McGee, with James Cowton, a non-entrant at Killalane slipping to third some 344 points down on the leader.

Meanwhile Michael Dunlop, who has only one international race win to his credit this year at the Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races in July took both Superbike race victories climbed two places from eighth to sixth.

Derek McGee had a total of five races, taking a race win in the SuperTwins; two seconds in the Supersport Championship race and the Grand Final; third in the non-championship Supersport race and fourth in the Open Superbike race, moving him up to third from fifth.

Down one position into third goes James Cowton, with early season leaders Ivan Lintin also dropping one place to fourth and Dean Harrison similarly down one to fifth.

Davy Morgan another long standing road racer, who has not had the best of seasons, won the Junior 250cc race, plus a fifth, sixth, seventh and an eighth advances from 67th to 38th place.

The final European round, the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races takes place on Saturday and Sunday 12th & 13th September at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough.

With current leader William Dunlop, James Cowton, Ivan Lintin and Dean Harrison all racing at Oliver's Mount can William come away from the North Yorkshire circuit still on top of the table or can James, Ivan or Dean accrue enough points over the 16 races to head the Duke Road Race Rankings as the final round moves to the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix later in the year.
