William Dunlop Heads Duke Road Rankings By 24 Points

After the final European round of the 2015 Duke Road Race Rankings, the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup Road Races held at Oliver's Mount, Scarborough, current leader William Dunlop still heads the table, but with a lead reduced from 133 points down to just 24!

The Ballamoney rider who has headed the rankings since the Ulster Grand Prix only added 144 points to his total after round 23.

In contrast, Ivan Lintin amassed 466 points with two wins; three-seconds and two - thirds climbs from fourth to second, having been on top of the rankings from round nine, the Barry Sheene Road Races at Oliver's Mount in June until the Ulster Grand Prix in August.

Man of the Meeting, Dean Harrison, with a total of five wins over the two days, including the feature race for the Steve Henshaw Gold Cup and the Cock O'the North Trophy postponed from July also added 435 points to move from fifth to third and now has a tally of 1716 points.

2014 Duke Rankings Champion, James Cowton missed out on the top spot on the rostrum taking a second, a third, along with a pair of fifths and a pair of sixths, slipping from third to fourth with 1536 points.

Derek McGee, a non-entrant drops from second to fifth, with Lee Johnston moving up two to sixth.

There is now a 10-week break until the final round of the 2015 Duke Road Race Rankings, the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix on Saturday 21st November where the 2015 winner could be decided.
