Motors TV Weekend Highlights September 26,27

What's that favourite thing of yours beginning with 'w' and ending in 'd'? It could be 'wood', but it's more likely to be 'weekend', as in the one that's just three days away! Indeed, those favouring the latter will be delighted to hear that we're making this Saturday and Sunday even better by spicing it up with some much needed motorsport!

Disciples of everything two-wheeled, muddy and spectacular need to check out our live coverage of the motocross world's flagship event - the FIM Motocross of Nations - which takes place in Ernee, France, this weekend. Known as the 'Olympics of Motocross', this annual event sees the three best riders each participating country can muster come together to compete as a team for the coveted Chamberlain Trophy. Reigning champions France, who feature this year's top two MXGP riders - Romain Febvre and Gautier Paulin - amongst their ranks, are sure to receive a rapturous reception from their passionate partisan crowd, while the US and Belgian squads should also be in the mix along with Great Britain.

There's also delayed-as-live coverage of the highly competitive FIA Formula 3 European Championship, which makes its way to Germany's Nurburgring for the penultimate event of 2015. Having appeared on the podium during every single race at the past three rounds, swift Swede Felix Rosenqvist is romping away in the drivers' title battle, but can second-placed Antonio Giovinazzi recover in time to take him down?

As a rule, racing cars should look and go like mini spaceships. That appears to have been the memo received by the Renault Sport Trophy crew, as their spectacular fleet of R.S. 01s will soon demonstrate at the mecca of European motorsport: Le Mans. Tune in for our coverage of these incredible cars swapping paint at break-neck speeds.

There's yet more F3 action coming your way with highlights of this year's Masters of Formula 3 race from Zandvoort. This prestigious rite of passage for aspiring grand prix racers was won by teenage superstar Max Verstappen last season, but which member of the world's current F3 roster will be taking top honours a year on? Watch to find out!

And we're returning to Zandvoort for round seven of the ADAC GT Masters championship. High performance sportscars, challenging circuits and top-drawer racing are the defining features of this competitive series, so what's not to like?

Well, even less as it turns out, thanks to action from the Supercar Challenge, CIK-FIA World Karting Championship and Caterham UK Racing, all of which are guaranteed to put an extra big smile on your face!
