KCMG and Wells unstoppable in China

Once again Dan Wells of Black Arts Racing by KC Motor Group Ltd (KCMG) put on another peerless performance last weekend by dominating both Rounds 9 and 10 of the Asian Formula Renault Series.

Hot and sunny conditions greeted drivers at the 4.3km Zhuhai International Circuit, a welcome change from the torrential downpour experienced at the previous Shanghai event.

KCMG maximised its weekend by claiming a 1-2 finish in both races courtesy of Wells and team-mate Garnet Patterson, who continues to steadily improve at each and every round.

The double victory sees Wells extend his record to eight-straight wins, which have helped him amass a total of 270 points. Patterson is second on 223.

The Asian Formula Renault Series returns to China’s Grand Prix venue – the Shanghai International Circuit – for its season finale on October 9-11 when the squad will be aiming to wrap up both the Drivers’ and Teams’ titles.

Dan Wells: “A prefect weekend! The team did a fantastic job in giving me a car that was easy to drive on the limit. What a perfect way to repay the trust of our sponsors by giving them a double victory this weekend. I’m looking forward to the final round in Shanghai in a few weeks time.”

Garnet Patterson: “I can’t be more than happy for myself and the team as a 1-2 finish is the maximum result that we could have aimed for this weekend. Props to my race engineer who gave me the chance to challenge Dan in Round 10, but in the end he was too strong and consistent.”
