Looking to finish a season that has seen everything from the high of the team’s first-ever victory to the disappointment of mechanical struggles, Park Place Motorsports will head to Saturday’s Petit Le Mans looking to end their TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season on the podium. With the formidable duo of full-season drivers Patrick Lindsey and Spencer Pumpelly already a proven combination this year, the team has added young talent Madison Snow, a previous winner of the event, to the lineup of their No. 73 Porsche 911 GT America for Saturday’s 10-hour race.
“Having Madison on the team definitely bolsters our lineup,” stated Park Place Motorsports co-driver and team principal Patrick Lindsey. “He’s a great talent who has repeatedly shown his ability over the last few years, and hopefully by joining forces with us we can all see another victory together. We’ve had a few bumps in the road over the last few events, but we all know how capable we are. The team has really come together and we are coming in to this weekend knowing that we’ve repeatedly had one of the best cars in the field. If we can keep our focus and run without mistakes, I have no doubt we’ll be able to deliver here in the season finale.”
Team newcomer Madison Snow will arrive this weekend in search of his third podium in a row at the event, including taking victory with Spencer Pumpelly in 2013, the final event of the former American Le Mans Series. At only nineteen years old, the Utah native has shown remarkably well in the last two years of TUDOR competition. In addition to his success at Petit Le Mans, Madison has successive podiums at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, in addition to being a podium threat at nearly every event he’s competed in. Having already tasted victory earlier this season in the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America series, Snow is hoping the effort with Park Place will help him achieve victory in TUDOR competition.
“I’ve always enjoyed competing against Park Place Motorsports, so I’m looking forward to finally joining them this weekend,” stated Snow. “Patrick, Spencer, John Horton and the whole team have an excellent reputation and it will definitely be interesting to work under their tent. They’ve been fast all season so I know we have a good shot, we just have to run a clean race. I really want to win in the TUDOR series and I really appreciate the opportunity to be here. It should be a great event.”
Rounding out the team’s lineup will be full-season driver Spencer Pumpelly, who co-drove with Snow to victory at Petit Le Mans in 2013. Currently residing in Atlanta, this serves in many ways as Pumpelly’s home race, and as such the driver is looking for a strong close to his season with the team.
“Petit Le Mans is always a special event,” stated Pumpelly. “Of course, you want to win every event you go to, but this one is particularly special and we’re as prepared as we can be. This team has worked very hard to get the most out of our Porsche, and our championship standings don’t reflect the effort and quality of everyone here. We’re coming to win and we know the potential is there, we’ll just have to see come Saturday night.”
As a 10-hour event and the final leg of the series’ Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Championship, practice will begin on Thursday, October 1, with the race beginning at 11:15 AM ET on Saturday. Live coverage will be carried on a variety of channels, full listing below (all times shown eastern).
