WOLVERHAMPTON have pulled the plug on Tuesday's planned staging of the Recycled Aggregate Olympique - and

quickly rearranged it for next Monday, October 12.The prestigious individual event has once again attracted a good line-up of riders and plenty of support,

but club officials made the early call on Monday afternoon to minimise inconvenience for all concerned.Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: “This meeting is always full of entertainment and it needs the

conditions to be just right.“There has been rain on Monday with heavy rain forecast for Tuesday afternoon so this is the logical

decision with another date available next Monday with a better long term forecast. We hope all the

riders, sponsors and most importantly the supporters are available to come and join us next Monday.”

SWINDON’S preparations for the Abbey Farwell this Sunday are gathering pace. The Robins will include Peter Kildemand, Grzegorz Zengota, Troy Batchelor, Kyle Howarth and Lewis Rose

from this season’s squad along with 2011 team member Nicolai Klindt and Danish youngster Peter Karger,

the son of former Robins favourite Brian - with Chris Harris, Danny King and Davey Watt all included in

an Elite League Select side.Swindon boss Alun Rossiter said: ““It’s coming together nicely now although obviously it’s disappointing

that we can’t have Aaron Summers and Nick Morris with us because Glasgow are riding.“I’m delighted with the way it’s shaping up and with the 150cc racing with the British kids at 4pm, the

main event at 5pm and the second half, it’s going to be a big event. It will be sad to say farewell to

the Abbey as it stands, but there’s a bright new future ahead of us and we should embrace it.”
