Tutumlu had his first taste of the Czech racetrack on Monday with his Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan.
Tutumlu took SPX class win and finished 6th overall at the 24 hours of Barcelona in September and will share the Lamborghini with Russian Vadim Giltin and Briton Adrian Watt at Brno. Tutumlu carried out a testing day at the Automotodrom Brno earlier this week, which was his first outing on the track.
“I am extremely happy with our test last Monday, because our attempt at dry and wet testing was perfect.
Wet and dry conditions gave us valuable feedback and we have drawn some very positive conclusions. For much of the day I worked with Vadim coaching him. My goal was to help him improving his lap times. It is
important to be as competitive as possible and sincerely we managed to do it”, Tutumlu commented, underlining that “almost certainly our Lamborghini will be in SPX class, ad hoc for this model at the 24 hours of Barcelona. Our goal is to win our class again, but we also keep an eye on the overall podium. It will be a tough challenge, but I hope to help achieve it!”.
Friday´s free practice session will serve as appetizer to qualifying scheduled at 15.45. The 12 hours of Brno will start at noon on Saturday, and it will come to an end at around midnight.
