DAV Racing scored another rookie podium in Monza, EuroFormula Open home race for the Italian squad. For the first time in his history on track with 4 cars, DAV Racing closed a productive but unfortunate round in the famous Temple of Speed. Leonardo Pulcini fought in both race as a lion, but in race-1 He made a mistake breaking on the slippery asphalt in the Ascari, losing 4th overall place.
On Sunday Leonardo took the 3rd slot in the rookie classification, being also 7th in the overall, scoring points again after 10th place in race 1. Unluckly in the collective test on Thursday Parth Ghorpade had an electrical issue, which cost him track time. Anyway Parth has been able to score an 11th place on Saturday, but had to retire after a contact on Sunday. A contact cost points in the standings also to Alessio Rovera. The Italian gun had to retire Saturaday because of a contact who broke his front right suspension. On race-2, after a difficult qualifying under the rain, Alessio recovered to 11th place with a damaged tyre, a great result considering this failure. For the first time was part of the team the Chinese Kang Ling.
Incredibly fast on the dry track in Collective Testing and Free Practice, Kang had to struggle under the rain in both qualifying, starting from the back of the grid. For him a 12th and 13th place in the races, but for sure in Montmelò, after the great experience of Monza, He will be able to enter Top-10.
