Isaac Tutumlu secures pole for Brno 12 hours

Spanish driver of Kurdish heritage achieved another brilliant result during Friday´s qualifying session at Brno, setting pole position in SPX class with his Leipert Motorsport´s Lamborghini Huracan. 9th overall, he caught slower traffic, otherwise top-3 overall wasn´t out of reach.

Isaac Tutumlu has taken pole position in SPX class for 24H Series' race at Automotodrom Brno. With the day dawning foggy, it prevented him completing a proper testing session in the morning.

In the afternoon, when qualifying session took place, weather conditions was less adverse and the Barcelona-born driver managed to post the pole position time with Leipert Motorsport Lamborghini Huracan shared with Vadim Giltin and Adrian Watt. Besides, his lap time of 2:03.552 was 9th fastest overall and equaling GT3 cars performance.

“My top-ten place overall is good, but at the same time I was slightly unfortunate because I couldn´t complete a single clear flying lap. Traffic, yellow flags, Code 60,… In addition, when I was on my second set of fresh tires, I experienced gearbox problems and I couldn´t reach our reference lap time. We expected 2:01, and with that time we would have qualified in top-three overall”, Tutumlu explained and also highlighting that “our race trim is certainly good, because I was steadily lapping in times of 2:03. Wish us luck tomorrow!”.
