(SPEEDWAY 1 - MONDAY REVIEW)

WOLVERHAMPTON favourite Freddie Lindgren became the joint record title holder of the club's traditional end-of-season Olympique individual meeting on Monday. The Swedish rider notched 13-points as he equalled club legend Ole Olsen's record of six event victories.Team-mate Ricky Wells finished second ahead of Chris Harris after a four-man run-off which also featured Scott Nicholls and Jacob Thorssell after they all finished on ten.Lindgren said: “After the season I've had for Wolverhampton this year, to round things off like that means a lot to me.“I tried some new equipment and things really worked well for me. I could feel my confidence coming back and in a meeting like this it's good because the unique format can be quite tough.“It's great to equal the record of wins and hopefully I can come back next year and win it again!”(SPEEDWAY 2)

GLASGOW boss Stewart Dickson has billed this weekend’s Premier League Grand Final as the biggest Scottish derby of all-time.The Tigers and reigning champions Edinburgh meet over 24-hours for the top item of PL silverware just under a month after the Monarchs secured the League Cup in their last battle, with Ashfield staging the opener under lights on Friday.Dickson said: “I think it is the biggest-ever Scottish derby. The play-offs are fairly new to the Premier League and Edinburgh have been in them, whereas when we won the league in 2011 we won it from a straightforward campaign.“This has got to be, in my opinion, the biggest match between the two – bigger than the Cup Final three weeks ago, bigger than the KO Cup Final in 1994. This is for the league.“They were the better team over the two legs the last time, nobody will deny that, but it’s a Final and we’re going to be really up for it. It’s great to be part of it and we want to win it.”
