Daytona's new kart circuit at Tamworth played host to the penultimate round of the TW Steel DMAX Championship last Sunday (18 October).  The immaculate 1000 m track has already been proclaimed as 'the best in the UK' by karting aficionados - and the 109 DMAX competitors were equally as impressed as they got familiar with the Midlands tarmac over two days of fast and furious racing. The TW Steel DMAX Lights category raced on Saturday (17th) followed by the Intermediates and Heavies on the Sunday - extra testing was specially laid on by Daytona Tamworth so the drivers could get to grips with this exciting circuit.DMAX series stalwart, Chris Hackworth, flawlessly wrapped up the Lights Endurance Championship - finishing the race in second but bagging enough points needed to take the silverware from Tom Golding.
