AMG-Team HTP Motorsport heading full throttle to the Ardennes

With the Total 24 Hours of Spa there is another highlight in the racing calendar coming up for the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport this coming weekend.

The 24-hours-race on the rollercoaster ride through the Ardennes is a special highlight for both teams and drivers every year. For the first time, the team based in Altendiez is participating with three Mercedes-AMG GT3. With Maximilian Buhk and Maximilian Götz, there are two former race winners from Spa on board the team.

Since 2011, the long-distance race on the Formula One race track in Spa-Francorchamps has been a regular fixture on the Blancpain GT Series calendar. Alongside the usual drivers from the GT Championship, the two DTM drivers Gary Paffett and Maximilian Götz are joining the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport, driving together with Thomas Jäger in the #86 Mercedes-AMG GT3.

"Spa is always a special race and we are pleased about the support we receive this year“, says Norbert Brückner, Team Principal AMG-Team HTP Motorsport. „I am sure it will be a very hardly fought, competitive, and exciting 24-hours-race with over 60 GT3 race cars at the start. We prepared well at the test-day and are in great shape with our three Mercedes-AMG GT3s and our drivers. It will not be an easy task, because there are many different factors, such as the weather, playing a big part in this race. But we have an overall good package and are all looking forward to the race.“
