From Fourth-Place Starting Spot Sunday at Road AmericaBen Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Riley Motorsports No. 33 ViperExchange.com/ Gas Monkey Garage Dodge Viper GT3-R Team Looking for Road America Repeat Ben Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and the No. 33 ViperExchange.com/ Gas Monkey Garage Dodge Viper GT3-R Riley Motorsports team will defend their 2015 Continental Tire Road Race Showcase victory from fourth place on the GT Daytona (GTD) starting grid Sunday at Road America.Round 8 of 11 races on the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD schedule, the Continental Tire Road Race Showcase can be seen live tomorrow, Sunday, August 7, on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) at 4 p.m. EDT.Keating got the most out of today’s competitive and quick 15-minute GTD qualifying session.“I feel really good headed into tomorrow,” Keating said. “Every opinion is based on a comparison to something else, and in comparison to the last three races we’ve had, it’s good to be middle of the pack again.”The Dodge Viper has historically performed well at Road America. In addition to the 2015 ViperExchange.com win, the former SRT Viper GTLM program scored its first win for that Riley Motorsports-run team at Road America in 2013.“This track favors the Viper tremendously, so we expected to be good here, but had no idea where we would end up,” Keating said. “I’m really happy to qualify fourth. It feels good to feel good again. I love this track, this track loves us.”Keating will start tomorrow’s race and hand the No. 33 off to team-closer Bleekemolen at some point in the race. “It’s looking good,” Bleekemolen said. “We’ve had some really good practices. Ben is looking great, did great in qualifying, and he is looking comfortable in the car. I know I am more comfortable in the car, so I finally think we’re back where we should be. I think we should definitely be able to fight up front tomorrow.”Road America races usually come down to managing fuel and strategically playing the inevitable yellow-flag caution periods the right way.“I think we will for sure have some yellow flags tomorrow,” Keating said. “Road America is a track that requires risk to be fast. Usually, if there is an incident it isn’t a small one, it’s usually a big one, so I expect that to happen.”

A repeat victory this weekend would be the second of the season for ViperExchange.com, after first winning in Detroit in early June.A win would also help keep Keating, Bleekemolen and the No. 33 team in the IMSA GTD championship battles. The team and drivers are fourth in the GTD championship standings with 186 points, one ahead of the fifth-place team and drivers and just one point behind the third-place No. 23 Porsche team. The No. 44 Audi team and drivers are second with 199 points and the first-place No. 63 Ferrari squad has 212 points. Race-day Sunday kicks-off with a 20-minute warm-up at 9:40 a.m. CDT before the featured Continental Tire Road Race Showcase main event goes green at 3:05 p.m. CDT.
