Round 5: Old Forge Garage Mewla Rally, 28 August

Damian Cole and Paul Morris won the Mewla Rally in their Fiesta WRC, finishing the Builth Wells based event 43 seconds ahead of rivals Steve Simpson and Patrick Walsh as the two crews continued their battle for the 2016 crown.

Bob Fowden and Paul Wakely finished third, with David Tinn and Giles Dykes next in their Proton Satria Neo. Richard Clews maintained his third place in the points table with a top ten finish and Wynne Watkins won the Group N category on the day.

For the second time in just over a decade, part of the route on the Epynt Ranges was disrupted by an illegal rave, causing the rally organisers, Epynt Motor Club, to instigate a major re-route at very short notice.
