(SPEEDWAY 1)RYE House have handed their final team place to Ellis Perks as they prepare to enter the SGB Premiership next season.Perks, who also has a Championship spot with Redcar, rode for Plymouth in the Premier League this year and also has National League experience with Cradley and Eastbourne.Co-promoter Steve Jenson said: “We spoke to a number of riders for the final spot in the side, and we were really impressed by Ellis’ attitude, the training and practice that he is putting in - and also his sheer tenacity.“He kept pestering us for the spot, and that relentlessness and determination are good attributes to have.“He’s currently riding extensively in Australia, and Davey Watt has already taken him under his wing. That can only be another big boost, even before he arrives to join the rest of the team.”
(SPEEDWAY 2)GLASGOW have completed their SGB Championship line-up with the signings of rising stars Dan Bewley and Nike Lunna.Bewley, 17, joins the Tigers after an impressive debut campaign with local rivals Edinburgh, whilst 20-year-old Finnish rider Lunna is back for a second season at Ashfield.Bewley said: “I knew early on that I wanted to be there, especially with potentially riding a Friday night in the National League - I needed somewhere else other than Edinburgh to ride.“I didn't do very well in my first meeting at Glasgow but in my last one I really liked the track and did quite well. Switching from Edinburgh to Glasgow is a bit unusual, but hopefully it goes well.”Lunna added: “I'm super-happy to be back with the Tigers. I love to be there and this coming year I have so much more to give, as I know the track and my team-mates.”
