The Historic Rally Car Register has announced details of additional awards for competitors in the Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship. The support of Mintex (Questmead), Minilite Wheels, Dunlop Tyres and Mini Magazine will add further depth to the trophies and bonuses available during the 2005 season.At each round, the 'Mintex Award for Improvement on Seeding' will be presented. The crew making the best improvement on their seeded start number will earn an award, although no crew can win the award more than once during the season.As well as providing discounts on wheels to BHRC contenders, Minilite will provide year-end vouchers for their products to the best performing crew using Minilite wheels. The award will be based on class results, rather than overall positions.At each event, Dunlop Tyres will award two tyres for each of the three categories and the name of the recipients will be drawn from a hat. No crew can win this award more than once during the season and only crews using Dunlop tyres will be eligible. At season's end, a further set of four tyres per category will be awarded. Dunlop will provide on-event support at all rounds of the championship.Finally, Mini Magazine will present a trophy for the best performing Mini at the end of the season, based on class results. The magazine will carry regular reports from the events."We are very grateful to all four companies for their support," said a championship spokesman. "In all cases, the competitors get direct benefit and anyone starting the events is in with a chance of winning one of these awards."
