Chiron plans three-car squad for OSRC
Chiron World Sports Cars Ltd is planning to field a three-car team in the BARC Open Sports Racing Cup and is currently looking for a suitable driver to join Doug Hart and Peter Hobday in the squad. With Stephen Shanly moving on up the racing ladder for 2005, the car that he took to back-to-back National Supersports titles in 2003 and 2004 is now available for a suitably funded driver."This car has lapped Snetterton in 64 seconds and holds numerous lap records," says team boss Henry Nickless. "In two years and 33 races it has never failed to finish a race. Currently the car is fitted with a healthy Swindon Vauxhall engine and is ready to go. Other engine options are available to suit the customer's budget."Hart, meanwhile, has opted for MG power for 2005 and a 290bhp Judd-developed engine is currently being installed into his Chiron LMP3-04. "The engine should make it quite a car," says Hart. "It should be great to have more power and a car that is getting better all the time!" Hobday, too, will continue the excellent progress he made with Chiron during the 2004 season. For details of the remaining available Chiron drive, contact 01905 641263 or 07967 550385.
