RST (Renault Sport Technologies) has officialised the entry list of the all-new Eurocup Mégane Trophy. 22 Teams from 10 countries will gather 38 drivers in the first meeting of the World Series by Renault, to be held the next the 1st of May in Zolder.
The Eurocup Mégane Trophy is the new top-of-the range competition, built around a specific tubular chassis designed by Oreca. The car is powered by a 3.5l V6 engine. The Eurocup Mégane Trophy, due to its ground effect and aerodynamics, clearly will give the competitors a “sports-prototype” feeling while driving this 320 bhp car.
RST has retained an important number of entry applications but the final choice has not been an easy task for the sporting committee. A quick view over the entry list may give an idea of the professionalism and competitiveness expected in every meeting.
The Eurocup Mégane Trophy is a k-part of the new concept of race weekends created by Renault, with the World Series by Renault being designed as the showcase discipline.
The race schedule will visit Zolder (Belgium), Valencia (Spain), Le Mans (France), Bilbao (Spain), Oschersleben (Germany), Donington Park (Great Britain), Estoril (Portugal), and Monza (Italy).
