Join Tiff and engineer yourself into F1

Former Formula 1 racer, Tiff Needell will be in the studios of webchats.tv for a webchat on Friday between 1300 - 1400hrs.

He'll be discussing career opportunities in F1 and how you can break into the industry - with one option being doing a Foundation Degree in Motorsport Technology.

The 2005 Formula One season kicked off in Melbourne on Sunday, and is set to be the most exciting season to date. Yet where would those driving heroes be without the complicated and ever advancing engineering technology so compactly encased under the bonnet? The driver may take the glory of a win but the success or failure of any race is a team effort, with endless experts working to ensure that the driver has the smoothest and quickest ride possible.

The Foundation Degree in Motorsport Technology offers anyone passionate about motorsport engineering the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills in the profession of motorsport. The degree has been developed with input from the motorsport industry, the Motorsport Industry Association and the governing bodies for British motorcycle sport, and provides the opportunity to obtain the latest knowledge and experience in the fast moving world of modern motorsport on a flexible and applied basis.

Tiff Needell, former Formula One driver and presenter of Channel 5's Fifth Gear will be live online, to reveal exactly what it feels like to be part of a Formula One race team, as well as answering all your questions on the various Foundation Degrees that will help you enter this exciting world - and of course his predictions for this seasons racing.
