Harrison bids for Porsche Club title
Kevin Harrison has marked himself out as one of the likely leading runners in the Michelin Porsche Club Championship this season. The Kent-based fire-fighter has acquired the 968CS used by Peter Morris to win seven times during 2004 and is aiming to mount a season-long bid for the title.Harrison has always competed in Porsches since he started racing in the 1998 Porsche Cup Winter Series. Less than two years later, he scored his first overall race win in the final round of the Porsche Cup at Silverstone. In 2001, he won class two of the Porsche Cup, but has always had to battle against limited budgets. Now, he is switching from the 911GT3 Cup car that he has raced in the Porsche Open to the front-engined 968CS. The move should allow Harrison the chance to contest a full season and he is sure to be a contender once he has adapted to the change of car."Parr Motorsport is getting the car ready for action at the moment, and will be running the car for me this season," says Harrison. "It's a bit of a change from a 911 GT3, or a 964 RS come to think of it, but it seems to be the car to have in the championship so I will give it my best shot."
