Competitors in the Michelin Porsche Open Series and Michelin Porsche Club Championship will have no less than three races in the course of one weekend at Spa-Francorchamps in early June. In total, they will be racing for more than two hours following an hour and a half of free practice and qualifying. With three and a half hours of track time all included in the entry fee of £485, the weekend represents a fabulous opportunity to really get to grips with what is widely regarded as the finest race track in the world. On Saturday 4 June, each category will have two 45-minute practice sessions before the two categories come together for the first race over 45 minutes on Saturday afternoon. As is customary for the classes at Spa, the two categories will share the race, but will start from two separate grids. On Sunday morning, the second race will run for half an hour, while the third and final race will be early on Sunday afternoon over 50 minutes. For competitors in the Michelin Porsche Open Series, the third race will be an optional two-driver race with a mandatory pit stop. That allows a second driver to join in the weekend and share costs!"Competitors will get lots of racing laps and those in Open have the chance to involve additional drivers," says Steve Kevlin of Porsche Club Motorsport. "With the third race due to finish just after 2pm on Sunday, drivers can still be back home in good time to be in the office on Monday morning."Obviously we are keen that all our regular racers come out to Spa for this fabulous weekend," continues Kevlin. "But we are also very happy to talk to other Porsche drivers who want to take advantage of the weekend. Maybe there are some British GT competitors who would like to join us!"
