Calling all speed freaks and petrol heads – Santa Pod Raceway, the home of British drag racing, is bringing together the fastest bikes and cars on the planet at the first major UK event of 2005 over the Easter weekend, March 26th to the 28th.
The Easter Thunderball brings spectators a front row seat for 300pmh Drag Racers, Monster Trucks, Jet Cars, and even a Rocket Propelled Motorbike! The action packed line-up includes motorbike display teams, kid's entertainment, sideshows, traders, inflatables, mini quads, helicopter rides, free camping, free parking, full catering, bar facilities and fireworks on the Saturday night, all combining to bring a high octane weekend out for the whole family. Pro Fuel Shootout: 300mph Top Fuel dragsters go head to head piloted by Europe's top drag racing talent in the seriously fast, seriously noisy, nitro-guzzling missiles! Pro Mod: 0-220 mph in 6.3 seconds. That's what these Pro Mod cars are capable of! Full-bodied, full-sized cars with massive engines and monster attitude. Europe's top racers will compete in this jaw-dropping demonstration race.
Jet Cars: Europe's fastest Jets Cars, Fireforce 1 & 2 will take to the track with a flame-throwing, 270mph performance. Nothing compares to the sight and sound of the Fireforce cars, and they are going faster than ever, with aggressive new tune-ups and modifications for 2005.
Michael Kooy's Jet Quad Show: Michael Kooy is not content with driving this insane contraption in a straight line like anyone else. Oh no. He performs skid-turns, slides, and donuts at high-speed, something few other jet-pilots can claim they are able to do! An impressive and skillful show delivered with humor and style. Monster Trucks: Off-track action from the UK's Monster Truck Racing team. Big wheels, big engines and big air is guaranteed from these car-crushing beasts. Watch in amazement as these trucks go full-throttle over massive obstacles starring the only and only "BIG FOOT"!
