Rally opportunity for Stefan Davis

Prospeed Motorsport give Kent’s Junior Rally Driver  opportunity of a lifetime “

Kent’s Junior Rally Driver Stefan Davis, has gained the opportunity of a lifetime following his reply to an advert in a paper. Stefan said “When  I saw the advert for the Prospeed Motorsport Rally Scholarship and the prize on offer worth £ 30,000 I thought it was just the break I was looking for !!  “ said the 25 year old. It cost the Kent youngster just £199 to enter the competition – an investment that is proving to be worthwhile in climb to the top.

Having competed in the Peugoet 205 challenge and Scholarship for two full years, Stefan has been working with continuing enthusiasm towards his dream of becoming the best rally driver in the land – his ultimate goal to win the British Rally Championship. The financial weigh down surrounding competing in the sport has been a tough ride - enough to make others renounce their goals but Stefan has battled through with a little help from sponsors, friends and family and in the main, sheer determination. Of course he has had times when he has thought the prospect in rallying would remain a dream but the news he received last week was just the leg up he needed.

Stefan has been selected by the Prospeed Motorsport Rally Scholarship to return with only five other talented and lucky people from the original 250 to contest in the final.

The prize is an amazing opportunity. Skoda have a well established name in the world of rallying and the Skoda team have recently developed the new Skoda Fabia World Rally Car which is contesting in this years World Rally Championship. If successful, Stefan will be competing in the British Rally Championship’s “Star’s of the Future” category in a Skoda Fabia Group N Rally Car. The experience will be a fully supported drive by Olly Marshall’s Prospeed Motorsport Team, which is the country’s fastest growing motorsport business. Prospeed Motorsport are currently running Skoda WRC cars in the Turkish, Czech and very soon the World Rally Championship. The final of the scholarship will be judged by 4 judges Junior World Driver Olly Marshall, two times British Rally Champion Johnny Milner, experienced co-driver Craig Thorley, and Rally PR Specialist Larry Carter.

With this being the closest he has been to realising his dream, Stefan is very excited about the opportunity he has been presented and is asking everyone to keep their finger’s crossed for him in what could be the spring board he needs to realise his talent to it’s full potential.
