Darren Law Brumos Fontana Recap

Law, Donohue, and Brumos Porsche Soldier to 9th place Finish in Rolex Grand American 400 in FontanaIt was an uneventful race for the #58 Red Bull Brumos Porsche squad as drivers Darren Law and David Donohue steadily worked their way forward from a 17th place starting position to a 9th place finish at the checkered flag in this last weekend's Rolex Grand American 400 at California Speedway.  The 400 kilometer event covered some 86 laps, and saw the closest finish in Rolex series history with a margin of victory of 0.096 seconds, and also saw the #58 squad finish in top ten for the third time this year in as many races.During a full course yellow on lap 49 Law was able to take over driving duties after Donohue had qualified the #58 machine with a lap of 1:35.856 and had started the race."We really just ran a steady race and slowly moved forward," said Law.  "When I got in the car I was just trying to turn quick laps and be consistent.  We didn't really have anyone at that point to race, and I wanted to make sure we brought the car home and got another top ten out of it."The Rolex Grand American series takes almost a month off before they meet at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the US Sports Car Invitational the weekend of April 29th.
