ALMS Sportsbook.com GP of Atlanta update

The American Le Mans Series returns to network television this weekend with live coverage of the Sportsbook.com Grand Prix of Atlanta on CBS from 1:00-3:00 Sunday, April 17 with Greg Creamer, Dorsey Schroeder and Ralph Sheheen calling all the action.

· Can Mazda and its rotary engine, as the newest manufacturer in the American Le Mans Series, challenge the Miracle Motorsports Courage and Telesis Intersport Racing Lola in LMP2 in its first race?

· Can Corvette Racing (GT1 class) bounce back after being beaten by Aston Martin at Sebring and perhaps give Ron Fellows and Johnny O’Connell in Corvette #3 a victory, allowing them to tie Sascha Maassen for all-time ALMS victories with 22?  Or will teammates Oliver Gavin and Olivier Beretta in Corvette #4 rain on their parade?

· Can LMP1 Sebring victor Champion Audi keep things rolling with its fourth consecutive win … and will that win come from Audi #1 with JJ Lehto and Marco Werner or Audi #2 with Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro?

· Can the Petersen/White Lightning Porsche continue to foil defending champion Alex Job Racing in GT2 as they did at Sebring earlier this Spring?

· Will the Flying Lizards, who came out of nowhere to finish second in GT2 last year, rebound from a sub-par performance at Sebring and once again challenge AJR and Petersen/White Lightning?

· Is the Panoz Esperante as fast as [driver] Bill Auberlen seems to think, and can it run with the rest of the GT2 growing list of challengers?

· Can Maserati, which had a respectable run at Sebring finishing fifth in class, continue to improve and challenge not only the Corvettes, but a much-improved ACEMCO Saleen now on Michelin tires?
