Bank Holiday bash at Wimbledon

Spedeworth South will get the May Bank Holiday off with a resounding bang when the Stock Rods, Stock Cars and Rookie Bangers take to track at Wimbledon Stadium on Bank Holiday Sunday May 1st at 5pm. Kids (over 5 and under 14 when accompanied by an adult) can catch all the action for just £1.00. Kids under 5 go for free.

The big race of the night is for the Stock Rods as the drivers contest the British Championship at the famous Plough Lane circuit. The very evenly matched Stock Rods always provide very close and exciting racing at Wimbledon and with the star drivers keen to add the British Championship title silverware to their collection some thrilling racing is guaranteed.

While the non-contact Stock Rods will be going out of the way to avoid touching bumpers the armoured Stock Cars will be doing just the opposite as the drivers make full use of the heavy front ironwork to get through the opposition and be first under the chequered flag.

There will be more crumpled bodywork produced when the ever-popular Rookie Bangers hit the track. Officially billed as a "light contact" formula the Rookie Bangers none the less manage to turn Wimbledon Stadium into a scrap yard by the time the night's racing is over. Spinouts, pile ups and rollovers are the order of the night's racing as the MOT failures are sent to the scarp yard in the sky.

With three formulas in action, the British Championship for the Stock Rods and kids getting in for just £1.00, Spedeworth South delivers a great value for money Bank Holiday's racing at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain's finest stock car racing circuit.
