BHRC registrations top the century

Registrations for the 2005 Armajaro MSA British Historic Rally Championship have topped the 100-mark even before the third rally in the nine-round championship.On the eve of the Matador Welsh Historic Rally (30 April/1 May) the number of drivers registered for the season broke through the 100 barrier.To date, 81 drivers have signed up for category 1 (historic) and category 2 (post-historic), while the burgeoning HRCR Classic division (category 3) now has 22 registered contenders.In addition, the HRCR is delighted to report a strong response to the joint initiative with the Cotswold Motor Sport Group to provide a historic class within rounds of the CMSG Stage Rally Championship. To date, 17 competitors have registered for the new series, which is designed at those seeking an entry into historic stage rallying as well as competitors seeking a lower cost option in a regionally-based series.
