Dimitris Deverikos and Piers Masarati took their second of two wins in the GT3 category of the British GT championship.

The Tech 9 pairing overcame difficult weather conditions and an extended safety car period to fend off a charging Allan Simonsen with Nick Adams taking the final podium place for the Damax team after a momentous battle for the final two podium positions.

Andy Britnell and Chris Stockton have given the Motorbase Performance team its first win in the British GT championship after a dramatic second race at Croft. Heavy hail showers delayed the start of the race and in wet conditions the duo fought up from sixth place to win from the Morgan of Oliver Bryant - the youngster putting in a superb performance to lead for most of the race before losing out to a charging Stockton in the closing stages.

After crashing out of the first race on Saturday, Jamie Smyth and Myles Hulford secured the final podium place in the red Damax Ferrari, with team-mates Marco Attard and Nick Adams fourth. Julian Westwood and Martin Rich came from the back of the field to finish finish, with race one winners Piers Masarati and Dimitris Deverikos having to settle for sixth.

Michael Butler, Dunlop Motorsport: “For a standalone Cup Class event it was a great grid. The conditions gave the teams a challenge on tyre choice and for some of them gambling didn’t pay off. It was particularly good to see three different manufacturers on the podium in race two and such close racing in an endurance event with only 21 seconds separating the top six in race one..”
