2cv 24 Hr Race for Great Ormond St. Hos.
LOCAL RACERS READY FOR 24 HOUR ENDURANCE TEST...IN A 2CV!Wokingham car racing team, Bella's Boys, is taking part in the famous annual Citroen 2cv 24 hour race this year at Snetterton, Norfolk, from 29-30 May 2005 in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC).The four-strong driver line-up and accompanying team has been named after Annabelle Sparrow, granddaughter of Adrian, one of the drivers. Annabelle, now five, was born with a facial disfigurement called craniosynostosis and was treated at GOSH by Dr Hayward and his team. She had her operation when she two years old and has been making regular trips back ever since. The family know only too well what excellent work GOSH can do. Adrian said: "My granddaughter has been a patient at GOSH since she was six months old and we cannot praise the team that treated her highly enough. Raising money is a small gesture of our appreciation."So far we have around £5,000 but we're aiming for £10,000 so please help us raise more money so that the hospital can go on to help more children like our beautiful Belle."If you would like to sponsor Bella's Boys please contact Adrian Sparrow on 01189 732601 or email: adrian@ptsdevelopments.com.More details can be found at www.2cv-racing.org.uk/teams/bellasboys.htmAll donations will be extremely welcome and anyone that pledges more than £100 will receive a special rare report and certificate to keep as a memento following the race. -
