Porsche to kick off 2026 with 24H SERIES Middle East double-header

Porsche will be well represented at the final two rounds of the 2025/26 24H SERIES Middle East season, making up almost half of the grid for this weekend’s Michelin 6H ABU DHABI as well as at the challenging Michelin 24H DUBAI on 16-18 January, with multiple Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific customer teams racing in both events.

Michelin 6H ABU DHABI

29 entries from the marque will compete across four different categories in this weekend’s round at Yas Marina Circuit, including Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Enzo Trulli. The Italian will be joined by 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Masters champion Adrian D’Silva and Super GT race winner Harry King for EBM in the #61 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The New Zealand-based outfit also enters a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992) in the all Porsche 992 category, with Josh Berry alongside 2025 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup champion Alessandro Ghiretti.

Yuan Bo, Leo Ye and Lu Wei were part of the winning crew that clinched the 12H MALAYSIA crown back in December and team up once again for Origine powered by CC.

Winhere Origine Motorsport names regular China GT drivers Liu Hang Cheng and Deng Yi as well as Wang Zhongwei, who competed for Porsche in GT World Challenge Asia throughout the 2025 season.

Hong Kong racer Antares Au will be looking to continue his strong form which saw him finish second in the opening round of the 2025/26 campaign, this time competing with Loek Hartog and Huub van Eijndhoven for Herberth Motorsport.

On-track action gets underway on Friday with Free Practice from 14:00 local time (UTC+4), before Qualifying starts at 16:30 later that day. Then on Saturday it’s lights out for the Michelin 6H ABU DHABI at 15:00.

Michelin 24H DUBAI

The following weekend will see the third and final round of the 2025/26 24H SERIES Middle East season, concluding with the epic Michelin 24H DUBAI as 30 Porsche cars take on the event.

Trulli and D’Silva will continue for EBM in the #61 Porsche 911 GT3 R and be partnered by former Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Dorian Boccolacci and Porsche Driver Ghiretti, forming a competitive line-up for the 24-hour event around Dubai Autodrome.

Origine powered by CC again names Yuan Bo and Leo Ye, with the 2025 GT World Challenge Asia Drivers’ champions this time being joined by Deng Yi, while Antares Au has Ralf Bohn, Loek Hartog and Joel Sturm alongside him in Herberth Motorsport’s #10 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Modena Motorsports finished second in the all-Porsche 992 category last time out and confirms the same four drivers as they did last month with Francis Tjia, John Shen, Christian Chia and Benny Simonsen at the wheel. Phillippe Descombes will also join them to form the squad’s line-up as they aim to go one better in the challenging enduro.

On-track action from Dubai Autodrome will get started on Friday 16 January with Free Practice from 10:30 local time (UTC+4), before Qualifying begins at 13:45 and Night Practice takes place at 19:00 that evening. The Michelin 24H DUBAI will then get underway from 13:00 on the Saturday afternoon.

Enzo Trulli, EBM: “It’s a pleasure to join Earl Bamber Motorsport for the 6H ABU DHABI and the 24H DUBAI. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to share the car with experienced drivers such as Adrian and Harry in Abu Dhabi as well as Dorian and Alessandro in Dubai. The goal at Yas Marina Circuit is to learn as much as possible about the Porsche 911 GT3 R, as it will be my first competitive outing in the car. We’ve got strong line-ups for both races so I believe that we can achieve great results across the two weekends.”

Dorian Boccolacci, EBM: “24H DUBAI will be my first race of 2026 and I’m delighted to be working with EBM again, for the first time outside of Sepang, where we competed in Super GT and Thailand Super Series last year. I’ve raced with both Alessandro and Adrian before and now also get the opportunity to team up with Enzo, who is the latest Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver. It’s great to start the new season with such an experienced outfit like EBM and with our line-up we can be competitive in this long and gruelling 24-hour enduro.”

Alessandro Ghiretti, EBM: “I’m very happy to be competing with EBM for the next two rounds of 24H SERIES Middle East and it’ll be my first ever time racing at Yas Marina! I’ll be sharing the car with Josh in Abu Dhabi, who is an excellent young driver, and this will act as great preparation before moving into the Porsche 911 GT3 R with the team in Dubai. We’re now getting ready for practice and will give it our all to achieve the best result possible.”

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “We’re really excited to kick off the 2026 season with a strong Porsche presence in both the 6H ABU DHABI and the 24H DUBAI. It’s great to have representation in all classes, with Porsche 911 GT3 R, 992 GT3 Cup and 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport all competing. We’re pleased to see customer teams and drivers from the Asia-Pacific region getting their 2026 campaigns underway, and we’re particularly happy that current Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Enzo Trulli will make his Porsche GT3 debut, partnering with his predecessor Dorian Boccolacci. It’s a big year for Porsche Motorsport, celebrating 75 years of racing history, so we hope the season can begin in style in the Middle East.”
