KGM Motors UK has launched the all-new Musso EV - the brand’s first fully electric pick-up for the UK market. Combining the strength and practicality of a traditional workhorse with the comfort of an SUV and the efficiency of an electric powertrain, Musso EV is aimed at both business and lifestyle customers who need capability without compromise.

Building on over 55-years of pick-up heritage, the Musso EV delivers a compelling balance of real-world electric range, serious towing strength and practical payload capacity, wrapped in head-turning design for a bold, contemporary presence on the road. Inside, its spacious, SUV-like cabin, advanced infotainment and thoughtful comfort and convenience features ensure drivers and passengers travel in exceptional ease, whether for work or leisure. Together, these attributes position Musso EV as a distinctive, no-compromise choice in the growing electric pickup market.

Kevin Griffin, Managing Director of KGM Motors UK, said: “The launch of Musso EV represents a major step forward for KGM in the UK, setting new standards for capability and innovation in the pickup market. Its combination of usable electric range, towing and payload capacity, and driver convenience features, it gives both fleet and private customers a genuinely compelling alternative to diesel.”

The Musso EV is powered by an 80.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from BYD, a global leader in eco-friendly vehicles, known for its durability and safety. With Cell to Pack technology for increased energy density, it delivers a range of 240 miles (WLTP) and a 20 to 80% charge time of 31 minutes on a 300 kW DC rapid charge. Plus, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality allows users to power tools, equipment or leisure accessories directly from the vehicle.

Drivers can also adjust regenerative braking in three stages via steering wheel paddles, with the smart system adapting to gradients, traffic conditions, and even speed cameras to optimise efficiency and reduce driver effort.

Performance comes from front and rear 152.2kW motors producing 207PS and 339Nm of torque. A towing capacity of 2.3 tonnes and a 690kg payload underline its working credentials, with self-levelling suspension and a robust chassis for added support. Its dynamic, full-time AWD system continuously monitors wheel speeds for stability and automatically redistributes torque to improve stability on varying surfaces.

The load bed’s structure also allows for partitions to be fitted, preventing cargo from shifting, while the reinforced tailgate - capable of supporting 150kg - can also be used as seating for two adults, adding versatility for outdoor use.

At the front, a bold black grille, high-tech LED lighting, muscular wheel arches, and diamond-cut alloy wheels create a strong yet modern identity. From the side, the seamless body design integrates the cabin and deck, while the rear is distinguished by a large KGM emblem and tool-inspired LED lamps. Six colours will be available to choose from, including Grand White, Amazon Green, Space Black, Ultra Marine, Marble Grey, and Blazing Gold.

Inside, the cabin has a clean, ergonomic layout. A panoramic widescreen integrates a 12.3-inch digital cluster with a 12.3-inch infotainment display powered by Athena 2.0. Comfort is further enhanced with heated and ventilated front seats, and 8-way power-adjustable front seats with 2-way lumbar support. Plus, second-row passengers benefit from heated seats and SUV-level space, with class-leading legroom and reclining seats.

Safety is also a priority, with 78% high-tensile steel construction, eight airbags, and a suite of driver assistance systems. These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, and Blind Spot Detection. A 3D Around-View Monitoring system further enhances manoeuvrability and driver confidence.

The Musso EV will arrive for customer test drives in May 2026 and will be available at participating dealers only.  Pricing for the Musso EV starts at £42,495 including VAT, utilising the £2,500 Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG).
