This exciting auction will also feature highly desirable pieces of memorabilia from the world of motoring and motorsport.
“Our inaugural Global Icons: Online sale was a spectacular success, achieving €18.3 million in total sales with an impressive sell-through rate of 90 percent,” says Joe Twyman, VP of Sales for Broad Arrow’s EMEA Region. “We are thrilled to be hosting the second in our series of online sales, offering new and existing collectors the opportunity to acquire standout automobiles wherever they are in the world.”
The carefully curated selection of models in the Global Icons: Spring Online auction includes:
1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk 1 (Estimate: €120,000-€140,000)
Delivered new to Beverly Hills, this 1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk 1 is a superb matching numbers example of the successor to the DB2. Meticulously restored it is finished in its original Crimson Red over Beige leather with a 2.9 litre dual overhead cam inline-six engine, producing 140 horsepower. This genuine 2+2 sports car is a remarkable grand tourer that is eligible for some of the most prestigious international motoring events, including the Mille Miglia and Le Mans Classic.
1989 Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth Group A (Estimate: €180.000 - €200.000)
The Ford Sierra RS 500 Cosworth is an icon of touring car racing and the ultimate version of a car that captured the imagination of the motorsport world during the 1980s. This superb example was prepared by Team Imberti in 1989 but was never used on a racetrack. Powered by a 2.0 litre Cosworth inline-four producing 460 CV through a Getrag five-speed manual gearbox, it is finished in the livery of the car that competed in the 1988 Spa 24 Hours race and is eligible for numerous historic touring car events.
1957 Cadillac Eldorado Series 70 Brougham (Estimate: €80.000 - €90.000 | Offered Without Reserve)
In 1957 the Cadillac Eldorado Series 70 Brougham was the most expensive luxury car money could buy. 400 were produced and the car described by Cadillac as “The Standard of the World” continues to be revered by collectors and enthusiasts for its exclusivity and opulence. This hand-built sedan features pillarless four-door styling, a stainless steel roof, 365 cu-in V8 engine and it still retains its original colours of Deauville Grey over Light Grey Bayou Cloth and leather. This is a truly exceptional motor car and one that in its day boasted the level of luxury that made a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud seem almost mundane.
1954 Chevrolet Corvette (Estimate: €60.000 - €80.000 | Offered Without Reserve)
The Chevrolet Corvette made its debut at the General Motors Motorama event in 1953 and was an instant hit with over 10,000 orders placed. The first year of production saw only 300 made, strictly for VIPs, but in 1954 the Corvette was made available to everyone. Finished in Black over a Sportsman Red interior, it features a 235 cu-in, 3.9 litre inline-six engine within a lightweight fibreglass body. This early example represents the epitome of a sports car that would create a legacy for decades to come.
1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole (Estimate: €70.000 - €90.000 | Offered Without Reserve)
Styled by Pininfarina, the Ferrari 308 is a genuine poster car of the 1980s era. This superb example of one of Maranello’s greatest sports cars is finished in original Bianco and has driven only 49,057 km. It was delivered new in 1983 by Auto-König in Munich and remained with its first owner until 2018. A major service was conducted at 48,223 km including replacement of both timing belts on the handbuilt 3.0-litre V8 and this open-top GTS is offered with all its original manuals as well as a fully stamped service book.
A selection of the cars consigned to the auction will be presented at a Live Preview event at the historic Museo Alfa Romeo in Milan from Thursday 14 May to Sunday 18 May. This event will be open to collectors and the public, providing an exciting opportunity to view these incredible cars and talk to the internationally renowned specialists from the Broad Arrow team.
“We are very proud to be offering these iconic automobiles from almost all eras in our Global Icons: Spring Online auction,” says Philip Kantor, Vice Chairman of Europe and Senior Car Specialist at Broad Arrow. “These are cars that took on and, in some cases, upset the establishment when they were launched or took to the racetracks of the world. We expect great interest in these models and are looking forward to sharing details of more consignments in the coming weeks.”
Bidding will open for the Global Icons: Spring Online auction on Monday 11 May at 10:00 CET and will begin to close on Monday 18 May at 17:00 CET.
Collectors are also invited to discuss consignments for other Broad Arrow auctions taking place in Europe in 2026, including The Zoute Concours Auction on 9th October and The Zürich Auction on 7th November.
