This exquisite very early Works R5 Turbo Group 4 car did not sell at Aguttes Tour Auto sale.

Uniquely built by Renault f1 opposed to the later cars at Viry Chatillon, this chassis was driven in 1980 by Jean Ragnotti on the Tour de France and Tour de Corse setting numerous fastest stage times.

Again, the early 1400 turbo engine was uniquely assembled by Renault F1 and the car comes with extensive documentation to support it's significant provenance.

Estimated at 400-600k euros - it did not sell on the day - surely a lovely thing to have and eligible for just about any historic/rally/tour demo event?
