2027 Snetterton and Silverstone British GT dates revised

2027 Snetterton and Silverstone British GT dates revised

Next year’s British GT Championship campaign will begin two weeks earlier than previously announced, while Silverstone’s mid-summer date is shifting by seven days.

Snetterton, which is staging the season opener for the first time in the series’ 35-year history, is now scheduled for April 10-11. This proactive decision avoids a direct clash with the FIA WEC’s long-awaited return to Silverstone.

The other calendar change concerns the blue riband, three-hour Silverstone 500, which was provisionally scheduled for August 14/15. Following a request from the circuit, it will now take place a week earlier on the 7/8.

The championship’s sole event on foreign soil, and first enduro of the season, follows four sprint races split equally between Snetterton and Oulton. Silverstone takes centre stage in mid-summer before a pair of two-hour races at Brands Hatch and Donington Decider complete the six-event, eight-round schedule.

Revised Provisional 2027 Calendar

April 10/11 – Snetterton 300 – 2x 1-hour races

May 29 & 31 – Oulton Park International – 2x 1-hour races

June 19/20 – Spa Speedweek – 1x 2-hour race

August 7/8 – Silverstone 500 – 1x 3-hour

September 11/12 – Brands Hatch GP – 1x 2-hour

October 16/17 – Donington Park GP – 1x 2-hour

The 2026 British GT Championship features cars from seven major manufacturers: Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Ginetta, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Mercedes-AMG. These brands compete across the 26-car grid divided into GT3 and GT4 classes.
