After three days of spectacular racing, the 2026 Goodwood Revival presented by DUNLOP has brought another outstanding motorsport season at Goodwood to a close.
La Dolce Vita
Embracing the spirit of La Dolce Vita, this year's Goodwood Revival celebrated the very best of Italian culture, style and motoring heritage. At the heart of the festivities was a tribute to Maserati's racing centenary, with a remarkable collection of competition and road cars honouring 100 years of motorsport history and showcasing the marque's enduring influence on both racing and automotive design.
The Italian theme continued across the event, where more than 300 pre-1967 scooters, including Vespas, Lambrettas and other Italian classics, took part in the Track Opening Parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vespa. The colourful spectacle celebrated one of the world's most recognisable symbols of Italian design, with crowds captivated by daring displays from the Vespa Acrobats.
Away from the track, visitors immersed themselves in the sights, sounds and style of post-war Italy at the Turning Circle, where the glamour and carefree spirit of La Dolce Vita provided the perfect backdrop to the event.
Memorable celebrations
Revival also honoured two legendary champions. A gathering of cars celebrated both the centenary of Sir Jack Brabham's birth and the 60th anniversary of his third Formula 1 World Championship title. Revival also marked 50 years since Barry Sheene’s first World Championship triumph with a display of championship-winning machinery and a fitting celebration of one of Britain's most charismatic sporting heroes. The celebrations at Revival concluded a year-round tribute for Barry Sheene, following tributes at the 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport and Festival of Speed earlier in the year.
Visitors had the rare opportunity to see all three Ford GT MkIIs that famously secured Ford’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966. Following the reunion of the iconic trio under the stewardship of the Miller Family Automobile Foundation at Festival of Speed, visitors were able to see the cars on the DUNLOP stand in Earls Court, as well as on track, where they recreated the iconic finish on the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. Derek Bell, Scott Dixon, Benoît Tréluyer, Jimmie Johnson, Tom Kristensen, André Lotterer, Hélio Castroneves, Marcel Fässler and Emanuele Pirro were among the drivers to take to the wheel of these magnificent cars.
Racing highlights
As ever, the main attraction of Goodwood Revival saw an unrivalled programme of historic racing, bringing together the world’s finest drivers, riders and competition machinery from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, with all racing taking place using sustainable fuel.
The weekend’s premier race, the Royal Automobile Club (RAC) TT Celebration presented by DUNLOP, reached its climax on Sunday afternoon with an unforgettable showdown between some of the world’s greatest drivers. Among those competing were 1997 and 2009 Formula 1 World Champions Jacques Villeneuve and Jenson Button, four-time IndyCar Champion Dario Franchitti, three-time Daytona 24 Hours winner Scott Dixon and four-time Indy 500 winner Hélio Castroneves, who made his Revival racing debut. The two-driver contest was ultimately won by André Lotterer and Lukas Halusa. Following the chequered flag, the inaugural Closing Party saw visitors invited onto the circuit for live music and dancing, led by Harlem jazz bandleader Dandy Wellington and a vibrant brass band procession.
Welcoming a star-studded line-up of drivers, the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul saw David Brabham, Jenson Button, Karun Chandhok, António Félix da Costa, Dario Franchitti, Jimmie Johnson, André Lotterer, Andy Priaulx and Gordon Shedden take the wheel. The thrilling two-part race featured Jaguar MK2s, Ford-Lotus Cortina’s and Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAs, with Romain Dumas and Fred Shepherd claiming the victory on Sunday.
Other racing highlights included the return of the Lavant Cup, featuring a spectacular grid of 1950s Ferrari and Maserati sportscars, with Richard Wilson winning the race in the Maserati 250S. The Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy - won by Alexander Van Der Lof and Yelmer Buurman - took place on Friday evening, with a grid of Jaguar E-types, Aston Martin DB4GTs and Ferrari 250 SWBs. Over on two wheels, the Barry Sheene Memorial saw Tom Booth-Amos and Ben Kingham take the win on the Vincent Black Shadow. Elsewhere, young drivers took to the pedals of their Austin J40s in the Settrington Cup presented by Ralph Lauren, with Joshua Pearce taking home the overall win.
DUNLOP: Revival welcomes its first presenting partner
The 2026 event marked a significant milestone as DUNLOP became the first-ever presenting partner of the Goodwood Revival. The partnership reunited two historic names with a shared heritage stretching back to 1948, when DUNLOP was among the original sponsors of the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Throughout the weekend, DUNLOP had a prominent presence across the site, including its activation in Earls Court, which displayed the three 1966 Le Mans-winning GT MkIIs.

Just plane fun: The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation presented by Bonhams
The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation presented by Bonhams once again showcased an outstanding collection of historic aircraft. This year's concours celebrated major aviation milestones including the 90th anniversary of the Supermarine Spitfire and the 80th anniversary of the de Havilland Chipmunk, bringing together some of the finest pre-1966 aircraft from across the world. The 1947 Le Vier Cosmic Wind was awarded ‘Best in Show’ - closely followed by the 1955 Cessna 170B in second place - as judged by historian and author Bruce Compton; former RAF fast jet pilot Mandy Hickson; Amelia Richardson, the UK’s youngest gliding instructor and aerobatics pilot; and Squadron Leader Alan Jones; among many others in the aviation industry and beyond.
Revive & Thrive
2026 marked five years of Revive & Thrive, with The Workshop welcoming a new programme of classes and demonstrations. Star of The Repair Shop, Dominic Chinea, curated a line-up of master craftspeople, artisans and restoration experts to showcase original ways to reduce, reuse, repair, restore and recycle.
The Revival Style Stage returned with a packed programme of fashion, beauty and heritage-inspired talks throughout the weekend. The area brought together a mix of special guests, fashion shows, DJ sets, and vintage shopping, all reflecting Revival’s core message of sustainability and creativity, inviting visitors to rediscover a time when people cherished their clothes, cars and belongings for a lifetime of use, with special guests Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Stephen Libby, Dame Zandra Rhodes and Golda Rosheuvel.
Under the hammer: auction highlights
A collection of unique and spectacular vehicles went under the hammer at the Bonhams Auction on Saturday. Highlights included the 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS which sold for £310,500, 1936 Aston Martin 2-Litre Speed Model which sold for £345,000, 1912 Rolls-Royce 40/50hp Silver Host Roi des Belges which sold for £195,500 and the 1958 Aston Martin DB Mark III which sold for £143,750.
Event charity
This year, Goodwood Revival supported the Goodwood Education Trust, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded by the 10th Duke of Richmond in 1976, the charity has spent five decades helping children connect with nature, understand where their food comes from and gain confidence through outdoor learning. At the event, visitors enjoyed a range of hands-on activities inspired by the natural world, including leaf printing, natural painting and creating bird feeders from natural materials.
